CuriousCity is temporary pop-up children’s museum in downtown Peabody that inspires curiosity, a love of learning and the healthy development of children ages 2-10 years old. The museum will feature hands-on, play-based exhibits designed and created by local artists/designers.
The pop-up will run three months in the spring of 2019 at 205 Washington Street. At the conclusion of the pop-up, exhibits will find permanent homes in organizations in Essex County to continue to provide play based learning to families and children.
CuriousCity is funded in part by a grant of Essex County Community Foundation’s Creative County Initiative, a collaboration with the Barr Foundation. It is a project of the Peabody Cultural Collaborative, the City of Peabody, Salem Five Bank and other community partners.
Artists/designers shall submit proposals to design and construct play-based exhibits in one or more categories.
