Marblehead Little Theatre announces non-Equity auditions for MAMMA MIA! Music and lyrics by BENNY ANDERSSON and BJÖRN ULVAEUS, and some songs with STIG ANDERSON. Book by CATHERINE JOHNSON. Originally Conceived by JUDY CRAYMER. Produced by Emily Black & Emily Grove. Directed by Steve Black, with music direction by Lianne Goodwin, and choreography by Nicole S. Gulino.
Auditions will take place Sunday, April 7th and Monday, April 8th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a mandatory dance call from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Actors should select a singing slot between 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. or 8:00 and 9:00 p.m., and must also attend the dance call from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please prepare a verse and a chorus of a song in the style of the show. Sheet music should be brought to the audition and an accompanist will be provided. For the dance call, actors should bring character and jazz shoes. A short combination in the style of the show will be taught. Callbacks are by invitation and will be held Tuesday, April 9th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Rehearsals will take place from May 13th through June 20th, Monday through Thursdays 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., and on Sundays 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., with tech days on June 15 and 16, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Performances will take place on June 21st at 7:30 p.m., June 22nd at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m., June 23rd at 2:00 p.m., June 26th at 7:30 p.m., June 27th at 7:30 p.m., June 28th at 7:30 p.m., June 29th at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m., and June 30th at 2:00 p.m.
