Because the arts bring communities to life.
With $160K of support from ECCF’s Creative County Initiative, the Essex County Creative Nonprofit Resiliency Grant Program succeeded in helping forty-seven creative nonprofits weather the early economic devastation of COVID-19, and the CCI creative network continues to grow and strengthen as a result. The Essex County Artist Fund remains open for individual artists economically affected by COVID-19.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Art Haven has had to shut it’s doors. We cancelled all after school and evening programming, as well as our April vacation programming. Assuming we will not resume any programming until possibly the end of June, our loss is approximately $18,000. During this March – June timeframe we impact approximately 200 students. The summer is our largest revenue season which will be severely impacted. We generally generate nearly $30,000, and serve over 300 students. It is difficult to imagine that we will generate even half the $30,000 that this season. Overall , we expect to lose, optimistically, $23,000.
