Because the arts bring communities to life.
With $160K of support from ECCF’s Creative County Initiative, the Essex County Creative Nonprofit Resiliency Grant Program succeeded in helping forty-seven creative nonprofits weather the early economic devastation of COVID-19, and the CCI creative network continues to grow and strengthen as a result. The Essex County Artist Fund remains open for individual artists economically affected by COVID-19.
Missing the launch of our concert season has been devastating. With no clear date of when we can host live concerts again, our promotional efforts have been completely halted. Projected revenue through ticket sales, subscriptions and sponsorships, and thus, projected loss, is estimated at $37,500. This is providing we are able to host live concerts for the month of July. If not, projected gross revenue loss through 7/31/2020 is $49,800.

Mission: To restore, maintain, operate, and preserve the Great Organ, Music Hall and grounds for the benefit of the community. Within that mission we reach out to at-risk youth through various programs: Introducing the organ to 4th graders from local schools through two-day workshops during our Music Hall Days which includes performances for the students, often in a bi-lingual setting; We host our Methuen Young Peoples Theater in the summer for 4-12 graders, presenting a Gilbert & Sullivan Musical; We award 2 scholarships a year to high school seniors going into arts programs in college; We showcase young organists in our first recital of the season. The MMMH has also worked with communities to promote recitals targeted to the Spanish populations, and provides discounted tickets to low-income seniors throughout our concert series.
