A tour in the historic district of Gloucester starting at the Sargent House Museum with 8 stops describing the life and times of Judith Sargent Murray, one of the first American proponents of the idea of the equality of the sexes.
In the period following the American Revolution, Judith Sargent Murray became an important voice for women’s education and equality. Join us for a one-hour tour of her historic Gloucester neighborhood and explore the places and events that helped shape her as a wife, mother, and a woman clearly ahead of her time.
