All the Rocks We Cannot See, Thoreau and the Changing Landscape of Dogtown, Cape Ann

We interpret Thoreau’s advocacy for nature and ‘wildness’ in various Essex County installations, employing silk painting, photography and science.

NOTE: This event is a ‘dress rehearsal’ for our presentation at the 2018 Thoreau Society’s Annual Gathering on July 12th. We will present our planned 35 minute slide show (with original artworks displayed) followed by questions and answers. And we will repeat the slide show, modifying it based on audience feedback.

Our focus is Dogtown, Cape Ann, which Thoreau visited in 1858.
