In conjunction with North of Boston’s 17th Century Saturdays, the Buttonwoods Museum is hosting live hearth cooking demonstrations in our 1710 John Ward House.
Join us in celebrating Essex County’s rich collection of homes, buildings, and artifacts from America’s First Period (1625-1725) of European Settlement. The John Ward House (1710) and the Pentucket Burial Ground (1660) are the focal points of the Buttonwoods’ 17th Century Saturday programming.
For September’s and October’s events, education volunteer and reenactor Ed Dube will be setup at the John Ward House to teach you about 17th Century foodways while demonstrating hearth cooking techniques.
