Magic Carpet Ride

Join us for the Magic Carpet Ride, a party to benefit the Salem Athenaeum on March 2, at Landry & Arcari Rugs at 24 Flint Street, Salem, MA.

A celebration of Middle Eastern countries where the art of rug weaving was perfected!  Festivities include: live belly dancing by local performers, Eva J and Mia Maddalenka; Middle Eastern morsels prepared by local Turkish restaurant, Paprika Grille; desserts by Sofra, the Cambridge-based Turkish bakery; and live music by Gloucester-based dance band Safety 80s. An auction featuring a broad range of experiences and gift certificates donated by local businesses will be held as well.
