An evening of string quartets and lush music for contralto.
We are thrilled to welcome renowned, Boston based contralto Emily Marvosh! Songs by Handel and Mendelssohn will be performed along with works by living composers Caroline Shaw and Howard Frazin. MSCM musicians will perform Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 2 in its entirety. Works by Beethoven and Brahms will round out the program.

Before each concert at the Barn at Castle Hill, audience members are cordially invited to arrive an hour early with a picnic and relax in the walled garden in front of the Barn. Please be advised – as dictated by our liquor license, only alcohol supplied by our vendor is permitted on the premise.
