Sisters Katharine and Louisa Loring fully embodied humanitarianism during the 1800s. Numerous local organizations were impacted by one or both of the sisters including the Beverly Public Library, Beverly Improvement Society, The Red Cross, and the Beverly Historical Society (Historic Beverly). This lecture will offer a behind the scenes look at the life and times of the Loring sisters, their power as civic leaders within the community and their influence on the future.
