The QWERTY FESTIVAL ~ A Celebration of Typewriters

Celebrate the typewriter at the Museum of Printing’s QWERTY FESTIVAL with fun displays, lectures and the documentary film “California Typewriter”.

On display will be one of the FIRST typewriters ever made, the 1874 Sholes and Glidden, as well as the SMALLEST typewriter ever made! See more than fifty unique and interesting antique typewriters on exhibit. Listen to two great lectures and watch the documentary film “California Typewriter”.  Type on a vintage Royal typewriter. View a Linotype typesetting machine, which was invented because of the typewriter.  See rare office machines, from the first Mimeograph to the Gestetner, and Ditto.
